DOST-PTRI, GPPB COMMITS TO MAINSTREAM PTF

The DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) orchestrated the Official Turnover of the Philippine Tropical Fabrics for the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) Uniform at their new building in Diliman, Quezon City.

DOST-PTRI Director Dr. Julius L. Leaño, Jr. and GPPB-TSO Executive Director Atty. Rowena Candice M. Ruiz led the Innovation Dialogue to discuss the Philippine Tropical Fabrics (PTF) Law, procurement mechanisms to support the law, and other procurement concerns and considerations. 

At the heart of this endeavor lies GPPB-TSO's unwavering commitment to sustainable practices exemplifying a proactive stance towards environmental stewardship and responsible sourcing.

The GPPB-TSO is also rolling out an open house event from 05-08 March 2024, themed “Building Bridges to Procurement Excellence.” This dynamic platform aims to foster innovation and knowledge exchange across diverse government procurement entities. The DOST-PTRI seizes the opportunity to champion awareness about the Philippine Tropical Fabrics Law through the KatHABI Textile Innovation Exhibit at the GPPB-TSO lobby, propelling sustainable textile solutions to the forefront of procurement consciousness.
