In a significant step towards sustainable luxury furnishings, Apexotel and the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The signing ceremony took place on June 4, 2024, marking a milestone in the use of eco-friendly fabrics in high-end home decor and furnishings. 

The partnership, which aims to bring curated and sustainable pieces to both local and international markets, was initiated during an initial visit by the Apexotel team on May 27, 2024. The team, led by Ms. Hyacinth Nabong, the Creative Director of Apexotel, returned to finalize the agreement alongside Mr. Jo-Dann Darong, Director III of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), who was an invited guest for the occasion. 

The MOA signing was attended by Dr. Julius L. Leaño Jr., Director IV of DOST-PTRI, Mr. Jo-Dann Darong, Director III of DTI, Ms. Hyacinth Nabong, Creative Director of Apexotel Designs, Mr. Tristan Nabong, Chief Strategy Officer, Ms. Dimful Nabong, Chief Commercial Officer, and Mr. Joselito Carandang, President and CEO of MC Capstone Builder & Co. 

This collaboration promises to innovate the luxury home decor market by integrating DOST-PTRI's sustainable textile technologies with Apexotel's design expertise. With this MOA, Apexotel and PTRI are poised to lead the charge in sustainable luxury, creating products that not only meet the aesthetic demands of high-end consumers but also contribute positively to environmental conservation efforts.
