For the next feature in celebration of Intellectual Property Month, we are excited to share that our recently registered patent for the "Spinning Machine" is the result of the innovative work of DOST-PTRI researchers Engr. Ronald S. Pechera and Engr. Roberto O. Casero. Their dedication and expertise have led to the creation of this groundbreaking invention.

This invention pertains to a versatile spinning machine designed for processing a variety of fibers, including cotton, polyester, silk, pineapple, abaca, banana, water hyacinth, bamboo, saluyot, manguey, and other lignocellulosic and bast fibers, as well as their blends.  

The machine is designed with versatility in mind, offering the flexibility to be operated either manually or powered by a motor. This dual-mode functionality ensures that it can meet a wide range of operational needs, whether for smaller-scale, precise tasks that require manual control or for larger-scale production where motorized power enhances efficiency and consistency.
