To further the bonds and foster camaraderie, the PTRI family conducted this year’s teambuilding activity at Phillip’s Sanctuary in Antipolo City. The two-day event held on August 6-7 started with a dinner reception for the participants which included introductions of new employees (Alyzia Andrea Adorna, Viann Alarde, Genesis Albarico, Janaphrel Borja Jr., Ma. Armida del Mundo, Erickson Fajiculay, Von Losloso, Mae Roa, and Rachell Ann Uson); greetings to August birthday celebrants that included Donna Aguilar, Marnie Dones, Director Celia Elumba, Malou Forcadela, Procer Navarra, Carmencita Pando, and Rocelia Rafols; and a send-off to a retiring employee, Eliza G. Acunin, who served the Institute for 40 years. The first night was capped by an informal bonfire gathering.
The second day’s activities, facilitated by the Sanctuary’s staff, divided the Institute’s employees into four colorful groups (Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue). Challenges tested their leadership, creativity, and teamwork. Cheer contests, group games, and obstacle course challenges saw active participation by the competing groups. At the end of the day, a reflection was done to enable the participants to share and process their experiences and highlight key learning opportunities. Color divisions came down and One PTRI took over as the order of the day.
The teambuilding truly provided a breather for PTRI’s personnel and served as an opportunity for most everyone to get to know their coworkers in a much lighter and cheerful atmosphere.
To beg the question, teambuilding: are we there yet? The Institute cheers everyone on to both the journey and the process.
