PTRI Director Carlos C. Tomboc and PTRI's Technology Transfer and Promotions Head Engr. Rita G. Delfin attended the Seminar for the Officials of Textiles and Clothing Industry for Developing Countries held in Beijing, China on June 3-22, 2008.

Said seminar was sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import/Export of Textiles (CCCT). 

The CCCT provided lectures about the basic economic conditions in China, policies on textile trade and the current situation and developing trends on textiles and the clothing industry. Other activities undertaken were visits to textile and garment companies in Beijing, Shanghai and Ningbo, the Custome Export Innovation Training Base of CCCT in Shanghai and the Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology; participation in the 7th China International Consumer Goods Fair as well as sightseeing and cultural visits in Beijing.
