Held at the Silk Innovation Center-Kalinga located within Kalinga State University – Rizal Campus in Barangay Bulbul, the training focused on important techniques in silk processing. Participants were taught cocoon sorting and classification, machine operation and maintenance, cocoon conversion, reeling, re-reeling, and raw silk lacing.

The newly trained reelers can now contribute to the local silk industry by transforming silk cocoons into raw silk which is the base material for silk textile production. To optimize its operations, the Silk Innovation Center-Kalinga requires at least six skilled reelers to produce a minimum of 7 kilograms of raw silk yarn in a day.
