DOST-PTRI Represents the Philippines at NEXT@ Fashion InStyle in Hong Kong
The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), in partnership with Department of Trade and Industry Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong, participates in the NEXT@ Fashion InStyle at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 27 to 30, 2025.

The Institute highlights its textile innovations—including Philippine Tropical Fabrics and KAWAYARN—through a joint exhibit with AsiaTex, Lakat Sustainables, and the Davao Fashion and Design Council.
NEXT@ Fashion InStyle gathers over 60 global material suppliers to showcase cutting-edge innovations in fashion materials, with a focus on performance, technology integration, biodegradability, and upcycling. The event fosters collaboration between manufacturers and designers, encouraging the development of sustainable and tech-forward fashion.
The exhibit was also visited by Philippine Consul General in Hong Kong, Hon. Romulo Victor Manzano Israel Jr., who immersed himself in learning about the Institute’s textile technologies and sustainable material solutions.
As the sole Philippine delegate, DOST-PTRI proudly brings the nation’s textile ingenuity to the global spotlight, showcasing the richness of our natural resources and cultural heritage.
The exhibition is open until tomorrow. Kababayans in Hong Kong, we invite you to visit our booth and discover the Philippine textiles!
