Since 2004, the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) celebrates the Philippine Tropical Fabrics’ (PTF) Month every January of every year with respect to R.A. 9242.

Transitioning to our 50th Foundation Day next year, we then envision the record-breaking impact of the 2016’s TELA Nation.

Theme: ONE ASEAN. Beyond Borders, Beyond Boundaries, Beyond Bounds --- the road map to the 5th decade of PTRI is golden, gracious and grand!

TELA (Textile Empowering Lives Anew) Nation 2016 is organized by the PTRI.

This will be held on January 28, 2016 (Thursday) at the DOST Central Office Executive Lounge from 9AM to 2PM.

Highlights of the event are the exhibits from our Stakeholders and TELA Conferences with guest speakers from the Textile Industry, Weaving Community and Partner Agencies.
