The College of Engineering and Industrial Technology at Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) formerly known as the University of Abra) conducted an educational tour at the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) facilities. The visiting group comprised four faculty members and fifty Bachelor in Industrial Technology students majoring in Apparel and Fashion Technology.

In a bid to revolutionize and sustain the textile industry across all regions of the Philippines, the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) capped off its participation in the 15 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) events for 2024 by joining the RSTW Central Luzon held at Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Running from December 10 to 12, 2024, the event highlighted DOST-PTRI’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability as an exhibitor.
