The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) held a meeting with the Department of Trade and Industry - National Capital Regional Office (DTI-NCRO), led by its Officer-in-Charge Winston T. Singun and his Team, to discuss further collaborations to support the local footwear industry. 

The DOST-PTRI and DTI-NCRO are part of the National Footwear Technical Working Group (NFTWG) which assures the proper implementation of the Philippine Footwear Industry Roadmap. 

The discussion tackled some of the recurring events held for the footwear industry including the Filipino Footwear Design Competition, and the Footwear Innovation Expo along with the development of workshops and training programs tailored for stakeholders in the NCR.
