Members of the executive committee and project leaders from the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) participated in the Operational Planning Workshop for Calendar Year (CY) 2025 held at Azalea Hotels and Residences, Baguio City, Benguet, on December 11-13, 2024. The workshop aimed to outline the Institute’s planned activities and strategies for the coming year.

The three-day activity featured the presentation of the 2025 Work and Financial Plans, the designation of roles and responsibilities, the distribution of targets, and the scheduling of activities. Participants worked collaboratively to ensure that all planned activities were aligned with the strategic directions of the Institute, DOST’s four pillars for science, technology, and innovation (STI)-based development, and the 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda of the current administration.

The operational planning process emphasized the need for synergy between DOST-PTRI’s plans, programs, and activities and the broader goals of supporting the textile and allied industries. By focusing on innovation, sustainability, and capacity-building, the Institute reaffirmed its commitment to fostering development within the Philippine textile sector.

As DOST-PTRI looks forward to 2025, the Institute is poised to continue its vital work in promoting STI-driven solutions and strengthening the Philippine textile industry in support of sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
