The rotary press is a machine that facilitate chemical and the subsequent mechanical processing of indigenous fabric to desired flattened, soft, smooth, lustrous, and supple compact appearance. The use of mechanized rotary press for the purpose assures faster and more efficient quality control of the finished material than the traditional continuous manual hammering process using a wooden mallet. The process does not limit its utilization to abaca fibers and fabrics but also to other indigenous materials both in fabric and fiber form, to ensure production of wide variety of soft and smooth materials for apparel, wearables, interior design materials and fashion accessories for the generation of foreign exchange earnings.
