Sugarcane bagasse fibers are extracted and transformed into a spinnable form, making them ideal for yarn production used in woven and knitted fabrics. These yarns are incorporated into various products, such as home textiles, dΓ©cor items, and bags. This advancement is driven by technologies developed by the DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute, which holds four registered utility models for the use of sugarcane bagasse fibers in yarn production.

  • Pretreated Sugarcane Bagasse Fibers for Textile Yarn Production
  • Method of Producing Cotton-Sugar Cane Bagasse Blended Ring Spun Yarn
  • Cotton-Sugar Cane Bagasse Blended Ring Spun Yarn
