The Summit was graced by Senator Nancy Binay. Sen. Binay has always been a staunch supporter of Philippine textiles. In 2018, the Senator became instrumental in funding and implementing of Philippine Silk Road Program through S&T, which allowed DOST-PTRI to expand its technological support on silkworm germplasm resources, silk cocoon production, processing, and services for the benefit of the Philippine silk industry stakeholders.

The Philippine Silk Stakeholders' Forum provided a platform for engaging dialogues, fostering collaboration, and charting the path towards a thriving silk sector. Stakeholders from diverse backgrounds exchanged insights, ideas, and strategies to propel the industry forward.
