DOST-PTRI HOSTS 2024 MECO-TECO WRITESHOP EVENT, COLLABORATES WITH RCAS AND UP-DILIMAN

After a productive community engagement in the Province of Aklan, the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) hosted the 2024 MECO-TECO Joint Research Program Writeshop Event at the TELA Gallery on May 13, 2024.
The writeshop was attended and made possible through the support of the Institute's partners from the Research Center for Applied Sciences (RCAS) at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and the Institute of Chemistry at the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman.
The event involved strategic planning activities that capitalized on each Institution's unique strengths, ultimately aiming to develop multifunctional textiles for smart applications.
Furthermore, the event was led by Dr. Julius L. Leaño, Jr., Director IV, alongside Dr. Rey Eliseo Torrejos from DOST-PTRI, Dr. Michelle Regulacio of UP-Diliman, and the RCAS team, headed by Dr. Mu-Huai Fang.
