Building on the success of the first day, the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) continued its mission to weave circularity during the second day of the 2025 National Textile Convention (TELACon) on January 31 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Through its platform, TELACon serves as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and circularity in the textile industry. It brings together innovators, manufacturers, designers, and environmentalists to boost the sector by fostering partnerships and exploring transformative practices. This gathering has also provided a valuable networking opportunity for stakeholders across the textile value chain, creating connections that will strengthen the industry's ecosystem.

The second day focused on the theme Philippine Textiles Beyond Government Uniforms. Esteemed broadcast journalist Ms. Niรฑa Corpuz hosted the morning session, while the afternoon program was led by Ms. Yllana Marie Aduana, Miss Earth Air 2023, and the TELAmbassadress of DOST-PTRI.

The event featured four forums that tackled key topics, including the accomplishments and future plans of the Philippine Tropical Fabrics Technical Committee, legislative frameworks supporting the textile industry, challenges and opportunities for integrating Philippine tropical fabrics into government uniforms and mainstream fashion, and the strategic role of local textiles in the countryโ€™s self-reliant defense posture.

A major highlight of the day was the launch of five strategic partnerships aimed at driving the growth and sustainability of the Philippine textile industry:
