DOST-PTRI Leads Basic Handloom Weaving Training Initiative in Talisay City

The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), in collaboration with the office of former Congressman Jose Francisco “Kiko” Bantug Benitez, now the 15th Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), recently conducted a Basic Handloom Weaving training program for 17 constituents from various barangays in Talisay City. The initiative aims to broaden the community's knowledge in textile arts and provide additional income opportunities through handloom weaving.
