The Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) is spotlighting its textile technologies at the ongoing 2024 Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR). Organized by the Government of the Philippines in partnership with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the event is being held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, running from October 14 to 18, 2024.

Among the designers showcased was Mayeth S. Codoy, a Filipina and owner of MYET, a Norwegian-based fashion brand recognized for its use of natural textile fibers and dedication to sustainability.
