The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) took part in the first leg of DOST-MIMAROPA’s SalikLakbay Solutions Mapping and Immersion, held from October 17 to 18, 2024. The event, in collaboration with the Local Grassroots Technical Evaluation Committee (GITEC), gathered stakeholders from the academe, civil society organizations (CSOs), industry, media, and local government units (LGUs). 

The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) marked its presence at the 14th Likhang Habi Market Fair, a cornerstone event for Philippine textile artisans, weavers, and industry leaders. Held on October 18, 2024, at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City, the fair, organized by HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, underscores a renewed commitment to safeguarding and celebrating the country's rich textile traditions through innovation and research. 

In a significant step toward promoting Philippine textiles in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) joined the Technology Fora Caravan: S&T Innovations for Community Competitiveness and Sustainability during the 2024 Bangsamoro Science and Technology Week (BSTW). The event was held at Cotabato State University in Cotabato City, Maguindanao. 

In a groundbreaking move, the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) made its highly anticipated debut at the 2024 Bangsamoro Science and Technology Week (BSTW), held from October 16 to 17 at Cotabato State University. This first-ever participation, organized by the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), underscores the growing recognition of textile innovation as a cornerstone of regional progress in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
